RAINFOREST LEMURS JOURNEY

ITINERARY (6 days)
Day 1: Arrive at Ivato International Airport (TNR) in Antananarivo, Madagascar's capital city. Our staff will welcome you, and we'll head directly to Andasibe in eastern Madagascar. We'll drive approximately 152 kilometers (95 miles) through villages, countryside, and the highlands of Madagascar.

Day 2: Today, we go and see our first lemurs at "Lemur Island." There will also be an evening outing to look for the nocturnal species of lemurs, chameleons, frogs, and other creatures.

​

Day 3: In the morning, we will drive further east (125km or 78 miles) to join the Pangalanes Canal. Here we will transfer by boat (24km or 15 miles) to reach our hotel. Lemurs are waiting for you here! We can visit the aye-aye tonight or reserve this outing for tomorrow evening.

Day 4: Today we'll spend the entire day in the park with a variety of playful and entertaining lemurs, especially the largest living lemur of all, the indri lemur.

​

Day 5: An early morning boat transfer, and then we'll hop into our private vehicle to head back to Antananarivo. We'll make a stop at a reptile reserve along the way to see the very rare chameleons, frogs, geckos, and other reptiles of Madagascar.

​

Arrive in Antananarivo at around 5:00pm and check into our hotel. Relax this evening and prepare for your flight home tomorrow.

Day 6: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
